Migration

Upgrading to LiFE RPG 2.0 gives you access to new features and a stronger system. However, your data from the older version does not automatically move over. To help you keep your progress, we provide two types of migration:

  1. Basic Migration: Moves your character stats (HP, EXP, Coins) and Skill EXP into the new version.

  2. Functional Migration: Intended for future updates but currently does not apply to version 1.x users.

Basic Migration

Basic Migration transfers only your main numbers, not your activity history or past logs. It is a simple way to keep your character’s core stats.

Step 1: Migrate Your Character Data

  • Open your old version of LiFE RPG and find your character’s HP, EXP, and Coins on the Character Card.

  • Enter these numbers into the migration fields in the new version.

  • Once entered, click the [Migrate] button. A confirmation box will appear.

  • Review the numbers carefully. If they are correct, click Continue.

  • The system will move your stats into LiFE RPG 2.0.

  • To confirm, check the Activity Log on the main page. Your migrated numbers will be listed there.

Step 2: Migrate Your Skill Data

  • Before migrating Skill data, make sure you have already created the same skills in the new version. If not, go to Settings → Skill Section and add them first.

  • Once your skill list is ready, enter the old Skill EXP into the Current EXP (Migration) column.

  • After entering the numbers, the system will update your Skill EXP to match what you had in the previous version.

Important Notes about Basic Migration

  • Basic Migration only transfers numbers such as Character HP, Character EXP, Coins, and Skill EXP.

  • It cannot transfer your old activity records, check-ins, or logs.

  • If you want to keep those records, you must also run Functional Migration.

Functional Migration

Functional Migration is not designed to perfectly calculate or replicate your old game stats. Its purpose is simply to move data from an older version into the new one.

We generally do not recommend running a migration unless necessary. If performed incorrectly, it could result in data loss. If most of your old data is not actively used, we suggest keeping it in your previous database. You can always open the old version whenever you need to reference past records.

  1. Important: LiFE RPG 1.x → 2.0 Migration is Not Supported

Unfortunately, data from LiFE RPG 1.x cannot be migrated to LiFE RPG 2.0.

  2. Why can’t version 1.x data be migrated into 2.0?

Due to significant updates in Notion's infrastructure and capabilities, we've made the decision to fully deconstruct the original LiFE RPG 1.0 framework and design a new, more advanced structure from the ground up. Although this means you may need to manually move some data, it ensures the best possible experience going forward. In fact, we invested over 3 weeks rebuilding the framework to deliver this upgrade.

  3. Then why include a Migration feature at all?

This Functional Migration section is built for future upgrades, specifically from LiFE RPG 2.0 to 3.0. We’re confident that future migrations (2.0 → 3.0) will be seamless and fully supported.
