Task & Deep Work Session
Task Session
Introduction:
Task Tracking Sessions let you earn Skill EXP. The Skill EXP gained is linked to the Area · Skill of the Project that the Task belongs to.
For example:
Suppose you have a Skill called Video Production.
Inside this Skill, you have a Project named Create a YouTube Video.
Every Task you track under this Project will give Skill EXP to Video Production.
In short: when you track work on a Task, you are also leveling up the Skill that the Project is tied to.
Setup a Task Tracking Session
There are two recommended ways to start a Task Tracking Session:
Method 1: Project-oriented
Open any Project and go to its Task Manager section.
Find the Task you want to work on.
Click the Start Session button.
The system will automatically change the Task status to In Progress.
You can now start working.
When you stop working, either because you finished or because you are pausing, click End Session.
Example: Video Editing often takes 12 to 24 hours to finish one video. A single session is usually not enough. In that case, end the session when you pause, and later start a new session when you continue.
How the system records your work
Every time you end a session, you can start a new one. The system will add up all sessions to calculate your Total Time Spent on that Task.
The total time spent also appears in the Project page under Earned Over Time, where you can see both the total hours and the total EXP gained.
The EXP earned is automatically added to the Skill that the Project belongs to.
You can adjust the EXP calculation in the Settings module. For example, you might set it so that 1 hour of tracked work = 20 EXP.
Method 2: Day-oriented
You can also start a Task Session directly from the daily view.
Go to Stage PARA.
In the Daily Highlight section, click Start Session.
This lets you track work for the day, without opening a specific Project first.

Deep Work Session
Introduction
Deep Working is a practice I’ve always believed in. Personally, I make sure to dedicate at least 2 hours every day to a Deep Work session. By Deep Working, I mean fully immersing myself in a task and removing all unnecessary distractions. For example, when I’m working on my computer, I close every tab and application I don’t need, and I silence all notifications.
I also recommend doing a quick 5-minute meditation before starting a session. This helps clear your mind and quiet down internal noise, so you’re not just removing outside distractions but also preparing yourself to focus completely. When you’re in that 100% focus mode, your productivity skyrockets. I love this state because in just 2 hours, I can often get as much done as I would in 4 hours of normal work.
Since I’ve been a loyal user of LiFE RPG myself, I wanted to bring this Deep Work approach into the system and share it with other players. In the Deep Working system, every session you complete earns your character EXP. Whenever you need to enter a focused state, you can simply use the Deep Work feature inside the PARA Dashboard to start your own Deep Work session.
Starting a Deep Work Session
Open the Stage P.A.R.A. module.
Go to the Deep Working page.
Click New Page and set your Target Hours.
This is just a personal target for motivation and tracking.
It does not affect how much EXP you gain.
Expand the Manage Session section. The system will list all your active Tasks for today.
Drag and drop the Tasks you want to work on into the Deep Work Session.
This shows which Tasks you will focus on during this session.
To begin, click Start Session on your first Task.
Example: if you want to start with “Reply Email”, drag it in and then click Start Session.

Tracking progress inside Deep Work
As you complete each Task, click Completed.
The Active Session view will update to show your current progress.
The benefit of tracking Tasks within a Deep Work Session is that you can clearly see how much time you spent on each Task during that focused block.
Ending a Deep Work Session
When you are done, click End Session.
The system will calculate the total time you spent in that Deep Work Session and grant you Character EXP.
Just like Task Sessions, the EXP calculation is controlled in the Settings module.
For example, you might set it so that 1 hour = 20 EXP.
